The funeral of the late Atigbor will be held at Blekusu, Roman Catholic Church premises. The 25th and 26th of May, 2012 at 9.00am is the tentative timeline.
There will be wake on Friday, 25th May 2012, but due to the AU games on that day, members from Accra may not be fully represented at the wake. However, there will be full representation on Saturday, 26th May, 2012.
The family of the late Atigbor has expressed desire to see SPOSA/SPACO give their beloved Headmaster a befitting presence. They have also requested that SPACO supports with the school brass band and cadet corp [SPOSA executive to push for this to happen].
They specifically requested that SPOSA assists with the announcement in the printed media i.e Daily Graphic and, if possible, bear the print cost of the obituary – the funeral announcement posters. [To be considered ]
PLAN
We would arrange a vehicle from Accra to Denu and back on the 26th of May for members who would be interested. A small amount for transportation would be charged. It is also advised that members who would be travelling in their own vehicles should try as much as possible to pick some members along.
Members interested in joining the bus should contact the welfare chairman on 0270285773 or email atanthonykpetse@spacospace.com. Deadline for registration is 20th May.The bus leaves Accra at 5.00am and returns to Accra at 4.00 p.m.
Due to the heavy financial burden on members to contribute for various initiatives i.e Projects, the pledges to be redeemed, Monthly dues, Welfare dues etc, we would rely on the benevolence of those who are willing to support with any amount. We would wish to make a minimum donation of GH¢500 at the funeral. We would also do some contributions at the funeral grounds to ensure we achieve the minimum target GH¢500.
Again we would ask individuals to sponsor themselves in terms of meals and accommodation as the welfare chest is still nascent.
