You love showbiz. Everything about it appeals to you, especially the thrill of performing. You need the spotlight. You're attracted to the creative, artistic, and glamorous things in life.

You have the confidence to entertain. You're a natural mimic. You're creative and inventive. You work well with creative people and you can take direction. You're a highly active individual with lots of energy and you don't mind working long, tough days, and nights.

You want to be a professional actor—nothing else will do! You want to inspire and move audiences.

You've got self-discipline, nerve, and determination. You have a lot to give and you want to be the best you can be. You want to understand what makes the characters you play tick, so you're a keen observer. You can handle criticism and you never want to stop learning. Above all, the show must go on!

Acting is an intense discipline. It's a highly competitive business as well: constant auditions, try-outs, and self-promotion will be what it's all about for you until you get established. But don't let it scare you off. If you've got what it takes, it's going to take everything you've got.

This comprehensive and highly practical two-year diploma program will teach you the skills and methodology you need to succeed as an actor in the disciplines where you are likely to find work and make a living. We focus on performance for camera, but you'll take voice development, live performance, and creative movement classes as well. We'll teach you how to tap into your creativity and help you discover your artistic identity. We'll give you every platform we can to allow you to improve and practice your performing skills.

With this diploma you'll be equipped to perform as an actor in films, television, commercials, and on stage. You'll be able to present on television and in corporate training and promotional videos (a big industry in Ghana Nigeria and the rest of Africa). With a trained and versatile voice yet further opportunities will be open to you in film, radio, television, and corporate video production.

DIPLOMA IN PROFESSIONAL ACTING FOR CAMERA

Duration: 2 years
Admission requirements: A minimum of 2 credits in WASSCE or its equivalent with your application to enroll, and a successful audition.
Good commend of English will be to your advantage and if you've had previous performing and/or acting experience.
